The Battle of Badr: The Day of Criterion

The Battle of Badr: The Day of Criterion The  Battle of Badr , fought on the 17th of Ramadan in the year 624 CE (2 AH), stands as the most pivotal military encounter in the history of early Islam. Known in the Quran as  Yawm al-Furqan  (The Day of Criterion), it was the moment when the truth was clearly distinguished from falsehood. This battle was not merely a clash of swords, but a test of faith, endurance, and divine promise that would decide the fate of the nascent Muslim community in Medina. The Gathering Storm: Origins of the Conflict After enduring thirteen years of persecution in Mecca, the  Muhajirun  (Emigrants) had found refuge in Medina. Journey to Anandpur Sahib

Journey to Anandpur Sahib Anandpur Sahib is not just a place—it is a living heartbeat of Sikh history, a city that pulses with the spirit of courage, faith, and divine discipline that was shaped by the Gurus themselves. My name is Simar, and my journey to this sacred town would become one of the most transformative experiences of my spiritual life. I had grown up hearing stories about Anandpur Sahib—how Guru Gobind Singh Ji had founded the Khalsa here, how it had been a center of learning and devotion, how it carried the legacy of courage and sacrifice. I visited Anandpur Sahib during the sacred festival of  Hola Mohalla , a three-day celebration that honors the warrior spirit of the Khalsa. The timing felt significant—I was at a point in my life where I was searching for strength, for courage, for a deeper co...

Advaita Vedanta – The Secret of Your True Self In the silent corridors of ancient India, where sages meditated under banyan trees and rivers carried the prayers of countless seekers, a timeless wisdom was born —  Advaita Vedanta , the philosophy of non-duality. Advaita does not begin by asking who God is. It begins by asking a deeper question:  Who are you? According to this sacred teaching, the ultimate reality is called  Brahman  — infinite, formless, eternal consciousness. And the individual self, known as  Atman , is not separate from this infinite truth. They are one and the same. This truth is expressed in the ancient declaration: “Tat Tvam Asi” — Thou art That. It means that the essence of your being is not limited to your body, name, or story. Your true nature is the same boundless presence that moves the stars, flows through rivers, and breathes life into every soul. But if this is true, then why do we feel separate, limited, and afraid? Advaita explain...
